David
Collinson is an Englishman
with close and recent ties to
St John. A family physician
in the UK by profession, he
studied relief painting in
Dorset under
the supervision of the late
printmaster, John Liddell.
Dr Collinson exhibits the majority
of his artwork iin Bournemouth
UK.
Linocut Prints are expertly
favored by Picasso, Hockney and
Lichtensein, and are viewed
perhaps as the Cinderella of relief
printmaking. David Collinson's
Prints are made from a single
sheet of Lino. Each goes through
the printing press 8 to 10 times
with darker colours applied with
each press run. They are limited
to 10 prints per edition. Every
print is different depending on
the inking process.
