Patty Tacquard : Patty Tacquard's paintings tend to focus on the play of shadow, color and light, especially the patterns of light and the colors reflected in water. Patty often thinks that shadows and light play can communicate as much as or more that the object itself. In her figurative work the "body language" is the focal point, telling the story of the painting.

Patty's artwork is also focused on tranquility, and often shows a light sense of happiness and humor. Her paintings are rendered in oil with subject matter ranging from still life, figurative, beachscapes and tropical scenes to paintings depicting water.

Patty's formal design training is from the University of California Berkeley, where she received a BS from the College of Environmental Design. Patty was a longtime California resident and constant Caribbean visitor until making th permanent move to St John in 2001.
