Susan Carey and her husband have spent the last several years cruising the Caribbean on their sailboat... St John, specifically Coral Bay has become their port of preference particularly in the winter season.

Space on their boat is naturally limited and is a definite practical influence of what she creates - small intricate drawings and colorful intricate earrings.

Her graphite drawings depicting faces seemingly in a stream of consciousness flow from a space even she has not yet identified.
